Body Fat Tip
White bread is good, but high fiber multigrain breads are much better. These breads are another way to add more fiber to your diet and they also have a good protein level. Pork does not assist in weight loss in any way. The less pork you eat, the better off you will be when trying to lose weight. Pork has a high fat content and includes food items such as bacon, ham and sausage.

  1. There are people who may become informed about what is going because of a label like this. For example, young people who live a sheltered life may encounter the idea for the first time on a food label like this.

  2. Nick, the thing about background music is it makes watching a video much more difficult for those of us who have hearing difficulties. I'm one of the 20% of the population that has tinnitus. There are many more people who have other kinds of hearing loss. You're giving a large part of the population the middle finger with background music.

I have a rather mild form of tinnitus. But when I'm standing face-to-face with someone in the same room It's hard enough to separate the dialog from the ringing in my ears. Add another layer of sound and the ability to separate the dialog from the other sounds becomes difficult and requires intense concentration. I choose quiet restaurants over noisy restaurants. I won't go near a Starbucks and have to listen to some asshole barista banging on the espresso maker, along with the canned music they pipe in.

People like me do eschew videos with background music. It's just not worth the effort.

I can't imagine there is a demographic that will refuse to watch a video because of a lack of background music, but please realize there are many people who will refuse to watch videos because there is background music. All the time I find myself hitting the close box when I realize the background music is going to be there from start to finish. I can't image anyone will hit the close box because there is not background music.

There's also the issue that most stock background music is plain old cringy crap.

And damnit as I sit here laying on the floor with my head propped up against the sofa, my dog has decided to bark in my ears until I stop what I'm doing and play with her. See ya!

  3. Holy crap I just saw my name.

Had the video on while I was playing some games on my big PC and glanced over just as my name scrolled by at the end! Jumped out at me like it was neon lit. Proud to support what you do!

  4. Dannon just started using this label on its paper work for the loads of milk we haul in from the big dairy farms five loads a day one load =8000 gallons of milk.

  5. I think the bioengineered label is a very good thing, and I'll tell you why. A very large part of the public that has an anti-GMO orientation has no accurate idea of what a GMO is or why it might be bad. The bias comes from something. It comes from a load of anti-GMO propaganda. Once a consumer has absorbed and adopted an anti-GMO stance, it comes with a whole lot of information (at least some of which is wrong). The bioengineered label is, as you say, a new term. Consumers who don't know what it means, and who want to know what it means, will have to learn it without the linkage to all the linkage with the GMO ideas. At least some consumers will learn what bioengineered means in a positive way before they absorb the anti-GMO message that the new term is the old term in disguise.

A similar thing was tried with high fructose corn syrup. Bad or good for you, it can't be much different from ordinary cane sugar, sucrose. But there was been so much propaganda about how bad it is, that many people try to avoid it, and there are lots of no-HFCS labels out there. And, in a parallel response, there was, late in 2011, an attempt by producers of HFCS to give their product a new name (CORN SUGAR).
